Tribes of Northern Namibia and Himba's in Kaokoland for 12 days Day 1: Upon arrival on Hosea Kutako you will meet your local guide and drive to Windhoek, which will be followed with Windhoek city tour. Then you will be taken to your hotel. Day 2: The next morning after breakfast depart for Otjiwa lodge. On the way to Otjiwa visit Okahandja the Kavango woodcarvers. Overnight at Otjiwa after breakfast which will be include depart to Etosha National Park Day 3: At Tsumeb visit a Cultural village, an open-air museum visitors will get a insight into the rural life of Namibian people. Also the display depicts the life, history and cultural of the different population groups and includes an exhibitionof the different arts and crafts. Also a visit to the Otjikoto lake, then depart for Etosha National Park or Mushara lodge for overnight. The next morning after breakfast visit Etosha National Park.
Visit Etosha and travel through the western part of the park. The oryx and many other antelopes prefer this region. West of Okaukuejo is the well known "Sprokieswoud" Game viewing continues. Go back to overnight again. The next morning after breakfast leaving for Oshakati. Day 5: Visit the northern region of the country, which is the most densely populated region of the Namibia(approximately 800 000 people). Visit varies places like "Ovambo kraal" The Ovambo is the biggest of the cultural group of Namibia and have 8 subtribes. Overnight at Oshakati Country Hotel. Day 6: Leave Oshakati Country Hotel after breakfast and visit Ruacana falls and varies other cultural scenes at the road down to Opuwo where we will stay at the Opuwo country Hotel Day 7: Today a typical Himba settlement will be visit. The Himba a sub-tribe of the Herero are nomads who are still living their old tradition and culture. That's why there are several deserted settlements to be seen along the way. There will be negotiations to visit a "Kraal" along the way with one of the headmans of the trive to explain the lifestyle and culture of the Himbas. There after proceed and return to our Hotel at Opuwo. Day 8: The next morning after breakfast we depart for Twyfelfontein Lodge. Day 9: After breakfast we will visit Petrified Forest and the rock engravings and paintings of Twyfelfontein. Day 10: Here we leave the Kaokoland and travel in a western direction for Swakopmund after breakfast on our way we will visit Cape cross where one of the larges Seal colonies is situated. Day 11: Day at leisure where your guide will inform you of different option for the day. Day 12: Departure for Windhoek to Hosea Kutako International Airport
